About NIITOIYIS FAMILY SUPPORT SOCIETY
To provide shelter and community services, guided by Indigenous traditional teachings, to anyone affected by family violence and abuse. To provide a broad continuum of support services, guided by Indigenous traditional teachings, that include prevention, intervention, and healing to anyone affected by any form of abuse.
The heartbeat of Niitoiyis Family Support Society is our shelter facility, a place of refuge, healing, and hope for vulnerable women and their children in times of crisis. The shelter provides basic needs and housing for up to 32 people for a 3-week period. In addition to meeting basic needs, Niitoiyis Family Support Society works to help clients escape cycles of violence or abuse.
Our Wellness Workers provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to connect our clients to further support and guidance.
