Mission

Axis Music aims to promote equal access to music education and performance. We encourage personal excellence, and believe participants can reach their full potential when held to high standards and supported by professional musicians and the community.

The Program

Founded in 2010, Axis Music is a tuition-free music program specializing in violin, cello and piano workshops for children and youth living in Toronto Community Housing. Workshops and recitals are held at the “The Hub Mid-Scarborough, Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities” in the Eglinton East-Kennedy Park neighbourhood of Toronto.

 We provide weekly private and group violin, cello, and piano workshops, guest artist workshops, concert trips, and performance opportunities.

Axis = Access = Tuition-free

In order to promote access to musical learning, Axis Music provides workshops and instruments to participants free of charge. Participants maintain enrolment through a dedicated work ethic, punctuality, and attendance.

Your Donation

Your donation will help cover supplies and artist, legal, and accounting fees. All administrative tasks are performed on a volunteer basis.
