As Bacaanda Foundation concludes its 16^th year in existence, we have much to celebrate.  In cooperation with Conafe, the agency responsible for public schools in rural Oaxaca, we have built and/or refurbished more than 30 schools, along with necessary infrastructure like teachers’ residences and bathroom facilities.  We have trained and supported hundreds of teachers in the classroom and through our two training facilities. We brought the internet into remote schools, and we introduced learning technologies to enhance student learning through our Intelligent Schools Program.

We now deliver direct program support to 51 schools across 23  towns and villages, in an area of over 600 square miles in southern Oaxaca state.
