Concern For Youth (CFY) is a grassroots organization of the Battlefords. We conduct mentorship one-on-one or in small groups with a focus on youth ages 12-19. Through mentorship CFY is able to help local youth in developing healthier ways of dealing with anger, developing healthy boundaries, and increase self-esteem. We accomplish this by building relationships with youth and connecting with them with prosocial activities, community events, and programming where we can partner with other organizations to bring awareness to youth about different topics such as healthy relationships and boundaries, self-esteem, cooking basics, budgeting, etc.  

CFY also offers free programming that includes cultural, life skills, recreational, and creative. Although our community has many positive services and activities happening in the Battlefords we as adults need to build stronger connections with the youth and continue to create a foundation of trust. CFY is working towards building that trust with the youth in the Battlefords. Within programming we would are able to create a stronger connection and community for the high-risk youth that are currently struggling with a lack of positive connections. CFY does not to just provide a service but provide the skills to continue making positive choices in their lives and their family’s lives.
