The Ryan Clement Mental Health Memorial Fund was founded in 2023, 7 years after Ryan passed away.
Ryan was kindhearted, sensitive and very caring. He loved animals, travelling, European football, thunderstorms, his family and friends. He had an infectious smile and quick wit and was always willing to help a friend or an animal in need. Ryan had aspirations of completing the construction engineering certificate through the NAIT.
After a 3 year battle with mental illness Ryan succumbed to his illness in Dec 2016. He is missed every minute of every day.
In his memory, this Fund will be used to support mental health programs that help youth and young adults struggling with mental illness. We also support recreational programming for inpatients at the Misericordia Hospital Mental Health unit and will create a scholarship program to support students enrolled in construction engineering at NAIT that suffer from mental illness.
