The Bhawani Anantaraman Foundation (BAF) was established by Dr. Anantaraman in memory of his wife, Bhawani, and his two daughters, Aruna and Rupa, who died in the Air India bombing in June, 1985.
The Foundation supports music scholarships in Ottawa in memory of Aruna and Rupa, who were gifted string musicians, as well as the Bhawani Memorial School (BMS) in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu, India.
