Our Mission
Our mission is to seek out the poor and needy Bibleless people in the outermost parts of the earth, to give eternal hope by providing Bibles that are understandable to them, free of charge.
About BIBLES FOR THE POOR SOCIETY
We are a growing Canadian Registered Charity (2003) operating in remote areas not yet reached. Our objectives are to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, to provide Bibles free of charge to those who are unable to afford one, and lastly, in seeking to minister to the "whole man" to provide humanitarian aid, offering relief to the effects of poverty.
Humanitarian Aid
Through our humanitarian arm, Waves of Mercy International, we are providing life saving vials of anti-venom to Swaziland which is "snapped up" almost as fast as it can be provided. Most of the 3rd world cannot afford expensive anti-venom and thousands perish or are maimed by snakes annually. Other projects include providing sight for a blind baby in Vanuatu through specialized surgery, and nutrition programs for a remote hospital in the Solomon Islands which had no means of feeding its indigenous patients.
