Big Brothers Big Sisters has a clear mission of enabling life-changing mentoring relationships that ignite the power and potential that already exist inside the young people we serve. Our vision that all young people realize their potential is achieved through building and supporting developmental relationships between mentors and mentees. These relationships express care, challenge growth, provide support, share power and expand possibilities for the young people involved in our one-to-one, in-school or group mentoring programs.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saint John provides these mentoring programs for children and youth in Saint John, Kings and Charlotte Counties. Over 400 children and youth each year benefit from critical relationships that build social-emotional skills, improve mental health and well-being and increase school engagement and employment readiness.
Our call to action is for more people, more volunteers, and more donors to join the mentoring movement and create the spark that ignites the power and potential of young people. Volunteers and donations are needed to professionally support mentor-mentee matches.
Thank you for your support! We're #BiggerTogether
