Big Brothers Big Sisters of Winnipeg is excited to announce that as of September 2016 we took possession of a building, which is now our new home. We are now located at 532 Ellice Avenue.

Prior to purchasing the building, we conducted a survey with our client families to understand the limitations of our current location/building and to determine the best location and amenities for them; one which would enhance our clients’ experience and encourage additional community involvement with our Agency through a better equipped, better positioned facility.

We set out to buy an affordable building we could change to have our unique needs met, which provided some type of revenue potential, and allowed us to stay within the centre of the city where the majority of our client families are located. We have accomplished all three! We have now concluded the renovations on the building to better suit the needs of the children and youth in our mentoring programs.

We are still collecting donations for the Mentoring on the Move campaign. The activities provided in this space will offset the cost of mentoring activities for matches and make mentoring easier. For the price of going out to the movies one time, you can support new site-based programming, and a home away from home for all our matches.
