The Boundary Historical Society was formed in 1951 to stimulate public interest in local history, preserve our historical sites, and document our local history. The Boundary area of southern British Columbia stretches from Anarchist Mountain eastward to the Paulson summit and includes many communities such as Bridesville, Rock Creek, and Beaverdell in the west to Grand Forks and Christina Lake in the east.
We publish Boundary History Reports that contain stories about people and places of the Boundary. Two local historical sites are projects maintained by our society – the Phoenix Pioneer Cemetery, and Gladys Floyd’s Cabin at Jewel Lake which was built in 1899.
