With the holiday season comes joy, family, and friends. But for many BGCCVI families, the holiday season can bring extra financial stress and worries.

We know that many of our families are struggling with the increased cost of living, work difficulties, and other challenges. Families are being forced to stretch their dollars further than ever, and providing holiday meals or gifts to their children may be an impossible task. Other families may need to decide between a holiday dinner or holiday gifts. It’s enough to make anyone feel overwhelmed! That is why we created the BGCCVI Adopt a Family – a holiday hamper program that provides our very own BGCCVI families in need with hampers that contain a full holiday meal for their whole family and a little something extra to help them through this time, provided by generous individuals, businesses, and community organizations in and around our communities of Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Parksville, and the Comox Valley.
