Bracelet of Hope

about

Our mission is simple yet powerful: Supporting Health, Homes and Jobs through collaborative engagement with the people of Lesotho in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Our vision guides every step we take: One African country AIDS-free.

Since our beginning, we have taken decisive action to tackle the epidemic’s devastating impact. In partnership with OHAfrica, Bracelet of Hope reached its first major milestone by raising $1 million to help establish the Tsepong Clinic, the first HIV/AIDS clinic in Lesotho. Today, we continue this legacy of impact through innovative programs that address the roots of the crisis.

We currently provide care and support to thirty-eight children in foster homes, offering safety, stability, and hope for a brighter future. Recognizing that access to health care saves lives, we pioneered the first Mobile Health Unit in Lesotho. Now operating two Mobile Health Units, our teams deliver essential medical services—including HIV testing and treatment, tuberculosis screening, prenatal care, malnutrition assessments, and general health checks—to 23,000 people every year in rural communities across Lesotho.

The need remains urgent. Globally, 33.4 million people live with HIV, 22 million of whom are in Sub-Saharan Africa. Sixty percent of these are women. Perhaps most heartbreaking of all, 15 million orphans and vulnerable children have been left behind in the wake of HIV/AIDS.

Together, we can create lasting change—ensuring that every child has a home, every person has access to care, and every community has the opportunity to thrive.

Join us as we work towards a future free of HIV/AIDS in Lesotho—one life, one family, and one community at a time.
