Our Mission

Mission Statement

Brain Injury Community Re-entry will provide support and leadership to individuals, their families and/or caregivers within the Niagara Region living with the effects of an acquired brain injury.

We promote self-direction, facilitate opportunities for meaningful adaptation, and contribute to the development of the agency and its people.

We participate in advancements in the field of rehabilitation, and participate in partnerships that foster ongoing dialogue with the individual and their support network.

About BRAIN INJURY COMMUNITY RE-ENTRY (NIAGARA) INC

The organization provides community based support services and rehabilitation for persons with an acquired brain injury, including supportive housing, friendly visiting, personal care, life skills training, social work, vocational and psychology services.

The Supportive Housing programs provide support services 24 hours per day to persons living in a congregate setting.

The Community Outreach Support Services program provides opportunities to learn or refine the skills necessary to regain and maintain active community functioning. These outreach services include personal care/attendant services, friendly visiting, personal effectiveness training, life skills services, vocational, recreation/leisure, and respite services.

Professional clinical services, including psychology and social work, are offered to individuals and their families.

The organization operates several residential sites throughout the Niagara Region.

The organization is funded by the LHIN & Ministry of Health.
