Primary malignant brain tumours (brain cancer) are currently the second most common cause of cancer death among older adolescents and young adults aged 15–29 years. Most adults with a diagnosis of aggressive glioblastoma survive only 1–2 years after their diagnosis. Sadly, brain cancer is one of the most underfunded types of cancers and is the reason why prognoses remain poor.
