The Branch Family Foundation is constructing a residential mental healthcare facility for young adults. There is a gap in our healthcare system for young adults generally and for medium to long-term residencies, where the focus is on mental health specifically. Set amid 8 acres of living grounds in Maple Ridge, BC, surrounded by Indigenous cedars and coastal evergreens, we plan to build a main building for counselling, activities, eating and community, with small supervised cottages shared by 6 people, each with personal space. Construction to accommodate 24 patients has been projected at $10 million. We are also hoping to establish a $10 million endowment to ensure spots are available for lower-income individuals.
