Following a 20-year quest to obtain a Canadair CT-114 Tutor for our museum, we have the opportunity to obtain one of the most famous Tutors ever to fly in Canada. It is the aircraft that was selected to fly as the very first Snowbird 1 lead aircraft flown by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds starting in 1971. Prior to fulfilling this historic role, it flew as the lead solo jet with the Canadian Armed Forces Golden Centennaires in celebration of Canada’s 100th Birthday in 1967.
The museum is seeking donations to assist us in transporting, reassembling and restoring Tutor 175 to its original Snowbird 1 livery. Your donation will help us display and share this significant historical aircraft to our thousands of visitors annually.
Thank you for supporting the BC Aviation Museum!
