The charitable purpose of British Columbia Schizophrenia Society Foundation is to raise funds for the programs and services offered by B.C. Schizophrenia Society (BCSS), in addition to funding schizophrenia research.
British Columbia Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1982 by families and friends of people with schizophrenia. Since then, BCSS has grown into a province-wide family support system with branches, regional managers, regional educators, program coordinators, provincial staff and volunteers. BCSS is dedicated to supporting families, educating the public, raising funds for research, and advocating for better services for people with schizophrenia and other serious and persistent mental illness.
