Bruce House is a community-based organization providing housing, compassionate care and support in Ottawa for people living with and impacted by HIV, believing that everyone has the right to live and die with dignity.
About Our Charity
Bruce House offers housing, support, and hope for people living with and impacted by HIV. Stable housing is vital in promoting improved health and life skills. The 7-bedroom Transition House Program offers 24-hour care and the opportunity to be a part of a community that encourages personal growth, quality of life and access to supportive counseling.
The Independent Living program provides rent-geared-to-income housing throughout the City of Ottawa.
The REST Program is a bridge to a safe and healthy transition when moving to independent living, or when faced with an episodic illness that impacts daily living activities. It provides the opportunity for clients to receive support during an episodic crisis, the development of short and long-term goals to manage health, and the opportunity for respite for friends and/or family members who are providing care.
Bruce House is dedicated to the development and facilitation of programs that support our clients living independent and empowered lives.
