About Bryony House
Since 1978, Bryony House, operated by the Halifax Transition House Association, has provided safety and support to women and children experiencing intimate partner violence. We believe every woman and child deserves to live free from violence, and we are here to help make that possible.
As Halifax’s only emergency shelter for women and children experiencing intimate partner violence, Bryony House offers more than a safe place to stay. Through our 24-hour shelter, crisis line and community-based services, our team helps women and families find stability, navigate available resources and move forward with greater safety and choice.
