Burnaby Meals on Wheels promotes health and independence by providing nutritious, local and affordable food to people who — for physical, social or economic reasons — are unable to meet their dietary needs.
About Burnaby Meals on Wheels
Burnaby Meals on Wheels offers three services:
The HOME MEAL DELIVERY program provides nutritious, hot and frozen, home-delivered meals to people who, for the reason of age, illness, or disability are unable to prepare meals for themselves.
This program benefits clients by providing:
• Well balanced Asian, Chinese, Western and Vegetarian meals each containing protein, starch and vegetables.
• Friendly volunteers delivering meals Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. COVID-19 safe delivery includes proper physical distancing.
• Maintaining independence in their home.
• Not having to worry about meal preparation after a hospital stay—meals can be available for short term post-hospital stay.
