Our dream is:
A welcoming community where all people can explore, learn and connect.
To realize our dream:
We empower the community to engage with and share stories, ideas and information.
For more than six decades, Burnaby Public Library has been significantly improved through generous donations received from thousands of library supporters. Donations large and small ensure that your library will continue to evolve and serve the community in the future.
Tax deductible donations can be made to:
- Burnaby Public Library endowment fund, which funds services, programs and collections
- Bridget Perrot Trust [pdf], which funds materials and equipment for Home Library & Accessible Services
- Julia Nelson Trust [pdf], which supports Teen Services at BPL
If you would like your donation to be used for a specific purpose other than these funds, please contact Beth Davies, Chief Librarian at 604-436-5431 or email@example.com to discuss your wishes.
What People Are Saying
"As a new immigrant, when I arrived in Burnaby, I found myself lost because I had nobody. The day that I went to Burnaby Public Library, I felt at home. I have found a new family!"
— Pegah, BPL patron
"You have been a lifesaver through every stage of my parental journey. You are a vital, essential part of my community. You are a provider of infinite possibilities and opportunities."
— Heidi, BPL patron
"I've been a public librarian for 30 years. I love it more each passing year. Why? The very essence of a public library is taking the will and contributions of many and distilling this to meet the needs of individuals. We have no agenda except to promote well-being in our communities."
— Peggy, BPL librarian
