Amber* turned to BWSS seeking urgent help to flee from abuse and violence. From the moment she called our 24/7 Crisis Line, BWSS provided first-response support and a travel plan so she could safely escape her abusive partner.
Amber* was at great risk of severe violence. We knew it was a race against time so we immediately helped her travel to a safe place. Today, Amber* is safe and free from violence.
Now we ask for your help to recover travel costs and continue to help many more women like Amber*.
In the midst of COVID-19, demand for our services has significantly increased. Over the past year, BWSS has responded to 13,950 more requests for service than the previous year. And we can’t do it without your support.
