B’Yachad Canada works with Tzohar, a not for profit in Israel, that fosters a vibrant and inspiring Jewish identity to guarantee the Jewish future of the State of Israel. Tzohar provides an array of Jewish lifecycle programs and services for hundreds of thousands of Israelis every year. With over 1,000 volunteers, Tzohar is a socially conscious movement securing an ethical, inclusive, and united Jewish society.
B’Yachad Canada supports Tzohar’s Shorashim (Roots) Program, a program that assist immigrants from the former Soviet Union (FSU) in investigating their Jewish lineage and in obtaining international material required to authenticate their a Jewish status in the Israeli rabbinical courts, thereby allowing them to marry in Israel.
