CALACS La Chrysalide, a center for help and the fight against sexual assault, is an independent community organization.
Our overall mission is to combat sexual assault through prevention, awareness, intervention, advocacy and training.
OUR GOALS
- Help and support women 14 years of age and older who have experienced sexual assault.
- Raise awareness of the problem of women who have been sexually assaulted and inform them of preventive measures.
- Fight against sexual assault, in particular by sharing our expertise with government, health and social services and judicial environment.
- To participate in all other activities aimed at the prevention and elimination of all forms of violence against women.
SERVICES OFFERED UNDER 3 COMPONENTS
- Direct help: Listening and telephone support, individual and group follow-up, information on rights and recourses, support in medico-legal procedures and support for relatives
- Prevention, awareness and training: Awareness workshops, self-defense workshops, education and prevention groups for parents, conferences and kiosks, training for workers and trainees.
- Struggle and representation: Public denunciation activities, collaboration with partners, defense of women's rights, representation on round tables.
