About CMOW
Founded in 1984, Caledon Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-driven registered charity that helps older adults, people with disabilities and those recovering from illness stay healthy, independent and connected in Caledon, Orangeville, Brampton and nearby communities. We fulfil this mandate by:
- Delivering nutrition: Hot and frozen meals, at subsidized pricing, each paired with a friendly security and wellness check. Emergency meal packs available for those in immediate need. Additional subsidy program offers meals free of charge.
- Building wellness: Weekly seniors’ health and wellness groups that blend exercise, education and social time.
- Reducing isolation: Friendly visiting and Tele-Chat programs that offer regular conversation and companionship.
- Enhancing safety: Project Lifesaver, in partnership with local police, providing wearable technology to locate clients at risk of wandering.
Taken together, these services deliver nourishment, companionship and a sense of well-being so clients can continue living in their own homes and communities with dignity and peace of mind.
