Frank Lake is easy to find, if you’re a bird.
Every year, thousands of migratory birds arrive at exactly the right place, at exactly the right time, without a map, a GPS, or a second thought.
People, on the other hand, are not doing nearly as well.
Visitors heading to Basin 1 often miss turns, follow the wrong roads, and end up in places they definitely didn’t intend to be, usually someone’s farmyard. While most people mean well, the result is confusion for visitors and understandable frustration for the farmers and families who live around the lake.
A Better Way to Arrive
This campaign is about making sure the human journey matches the experience people come for.
Clear, well-designed signage will:
- Help visitors find Frank Lake without guesswork or wrong turns
- Reduce traffic where it doesn’t belong
- Respect the people who live and work on the surrounding land
- Reflect the importance of this area for wildlife and conservation
Because getting there should feel as seamless as it does for the birds.
The Goal
We’re raising $5,000 to install directional signage that will finally make the route to Basin 1 clear, direct, and respectful.
It’s a simple fix—but one that will noticeably improve the experience for everyone involved.
