1. The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that presents over 80 live concerts each Season to fit all musical tastes. Our core repertoire is the classical masterworks but we connect to a broader audience with new symphonic works, Pop music, Family Favorites, and great musical works from the diverse cultures that make up our city.
2. The CPO is comprised of 66 full time, world-class musicians and Calgary’s finest large Chorus over 100 voices strong. Our musicians are supported by an administrative staff of focused on Marketing and Sales, Development, Artistic Planning and Operations, Education, and Finance.
3. Critically acclaimed artistic leadership: Music Director Rune Bergmann, Resident Conductor Karl Hirzer, and Chorus Master Timothy Shantz are continuously elevating the creative and artistic level of this great organization. The 63rd Season features world class guest conductors and soloists in programs with something for all tastes.
