The Calgary Eye Foundation was founded in 1993 by a group of local Ophthalmologists that wanted to see stronger support to Calgary’s Ophthalmology program. In 1994 the Foundation became an official registered charity.
As the charity has evolved over the past 30 years, we are proud to be able to support patient care initiatives, research, education, community outreach and global ophthalmology initiatives. Our programs support medical students, residents, fellows, faculty and allied health professionals to improve the quality of life for people dealing with eye disease, injury or age related vision challenges.
Our Mission is to support excellence in medical and surgical eye care through enhanced education, research and program development.
