Our Mission is simple: Building Community through the Power of Music.
From humble beginnings the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra (CSO) has grown under the leadership of our dedicated music director, Sabatino Vacca.
He has attracted a talented group of musicians and they work tirelessly to put on a series entertaining and engaging concerts every season.
Our goal from the beginning has been to make music accessible to everyone regardless of their financial circumstances and so the policy for most of our concerts has been that admission is on a “pay as you can” basis. No ticket is required.
Our growth, not to mention the incredible work and support of many volunteers, has enabled the formation the Cambridge Youth Orchestra.
As our board of education does not support a strings program in area schools, this is a unique local opportunity for young aspiring musicians to develop their talent and interest in music.
We rely on donations and the generosity of our audience.
