Our Mission
We will provide the highest caliber of environment, facilities, and opportunities for safe, enjoyable and educational outdoor-based programs and activities for children and youth, particularly those that might otherwise lack the means or access to a meaningful camp experience.
About CAMP MANITOU
In 1930, the Juvenile Court of the day asked for help in meeting the needs of troubled youth. In response, the YMCA and a coalition of Six Service Clubs founded Camp Manitou.
Since 1997, the Rotary, Kinsmen, Lions, Kiwanis, Optimist and Cosmopolitan Service Clubs of Winnipeg have carried on the tradition and have enabled thousands more to enjoy a healthy and exciting camp experience.
In partnership with inner city and other community agencies and organizations, the camp serves thousands of deserving but often less disadvantaged children and youth giving them an opportunity to build memories to last a lifetime.
