The Canadian Automotive Museum (CAM) opened in Oshawa, Ontario in 1963 to promote the history of the Canadian automotive industry. The museum is an incorporated charitable, not-for-profit institution with a mission to tell the Canadian story of the automobile and its impact in Canada through the preservation, exhibition, and interpretation of Canadian vehicles and related reference materials.
The CAM maintains a collection of over 90 vehicles, including more than 20 that have been designated Canadian Cultural Property. Vehicles are exhibited in a 25,000 square foot museum building as well as loaned to other institutions and shows. In addition to vehicles, the museum maintains an automotive research library and archives.
The CAM is open year-round and hosts fun and educational programs for all-ages.
