Founded in 1980, when hair was big, and our dreams were even bigger, the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF) is on a mission to champion career development as a driver of personal, organizational, and community well-being.

We’re a national non-profit that bridges research, policy, and practice to support more intentional learners, productive workplaces, and thriving communities. We believe career development isn’t a “nice to have”—it’s a social and economic imperative. Over the decades, we’ve worked with governments, employers, educators, researchers, and extraordinary professionals who work on the front lines to turn that belief into actionable solutions.

But what really sets us apart? It’s how we do the work. 

We believe sharing ideas and innovations is a superpower that multiplies their impact. We believe collaboration is about trust, grit, and showing up when it’s hard. We take pride in being bold, taking risks, and doing things that haven’t been done before.
