The Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF), Canada's oldest and most established national, chiropractic funding body, has been granting funds for chiropractic research since 1976.
The CCRF is dedicated to facilitating chiropractic research related to clinical, biomedical, health services and population health studies that mitigate the burdens of disease, illness, injury and disability for Canadians.
About Our Charity
Currently, the CCRF is funded through donations from chiropractic provincial associations, foundation memberships, fundraising events, general donations and partnering with government agencies such as the Canadian Institute of Health Research.
One of the Foundation’s main programs is the Chiropractic Research Chair/Professorship program, an initiative that has placed 18 chiropractic researchers in Universities across Canada. It takes $500,000 to create and support a Research Chair/Professorship position.
Through this program, the CCRF has placed Research Chairs/Professorships at the University of British Columbia, University of Regina, University of Manitoba, University of Toronto, McMaster University, Queen's University, University of Guelph, Dalhousie University, McGill University and Memorial University.
