The CCLH is an organization that studies and promotes the study of all aspects of Canadian Labour and working-class history. The Committee defines working-class and labour history in the broadest terms and encourages the study of working-class communities, culture, ethnicity. family life, gender, sexuality, migration, ideology, politics and organization. The CCLH publishes the journal Labour/ Le Travail (1976- ) and books. It also organizes conferences and sponsors the Forsey Prize for undergraduate essays and graduate theses.
