About Canadian FOP Network
Established in 2008 by parents of children with FOP, we are a 100% volunteer operated Canada-wide organization. Our network is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with FOP and their families.
What is FOP
FOP severely limits mobility. It is an ultra-rare orphan disease which progressively turns muscles and connective tissue to bone, permanently fusing their joints and preventing movement. The malformed big toes and presentation of mysterious swellings and/or stiffness are easily identified signs but often missed due to lack of awareness.
