During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims spend time in spiritual reflection and heightened community service. Ramadan’s simple, yet profound lessons include fostering empathy and social solidarity across arbitrary barriers of race, faith, class, gender and color.

Edmonton’s Muslim community is continuing to provide supports during COVID19 epidemic and have gone virtual over the phone and video conferencing to anyone experiencing isolation.  As we continue to provide public education to suit your needs using technology, we are determined to keep all of our Annual Ramadan programs using all media platforms to overcome these challenging times. 

This year for the Taste of Ramadan,   Al Rashid Mosque will continue to service providers helping less fortunate people in our community.

Funds will be used for the following:

* Purchase and Cook packed meals to shelters across Edmonton.

*Transportation includes rental of suitable vehicles and gas.

*Gifts and honorariums for volunteers. 

*Sanitizers, gloves, disposable aprons and cleaning supplies for everyone's safety.
