Armed conflict erupted in Sudan on April 15, 2023. Thousands of Sudanese now cross into neighbouring countries Chad, Ethiopia and South Sudan on a daily basis to seek safety.
Staff of Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), a partner of Canadian Jesuits International (CJI), are present in these neighbouring countries where they accompany forcibly displaced people and are on hand to provide food, water shelter, other basic supplies and psycho-social support for those fleeing the conflict.
