Our Mission
The Canadian League of Composers is a national organisation run by composers for composers. Our mission is to advocate for and empower Canadian music creators and sound artists, and to foster creative resilience and improve the artistic landscape in Canada, in order to help composers build and navigate sustainable careers, locally, nationally and internationally.
About CANADIAN LEAGUE OF COMPOSERS
Established in 1951, the Canadian League of Composers is the only organisation that speaks on behalf of Canadian classical music composers and sound artists. Our National Council comprises professional composers representing each region of Canada, as well as members on our various committees: Advocacy, Awards and Membership, Equity, Executive, ISCM Canadian Section, and Professional Development.
