We are a grass-roots community group, from many different backgrounds, united around suicide awareness, prevention, education and postvention support.

Our mission is to provide a culture of hope and support through community events and initiatives in Simcoe County, Ontario and surrounding areas. Raising awareness of suicide prevention, educating our communities about the impact of mental health and breaking down the stigma of mental illness are key goals for our group's activities.

Though our fundraising efforts, we support:

• World Suicide Prevention Day – held annually on September 10th – an event to focus attention on the problems of suicide worldwide. Since 2016, each year on WSPD we have installed a memorial bench and tree in a local community to open up a conversation about suicide awareness and mental health, to break down the stigma of suicide and to provide a place of quiet contemplation to remember lost loved ones.

• International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day – held annually in November – an event for survivors of suicide loss to come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experiences.
