Our Vision: Mentally Healthy People in a Healthy Society

Canadian Mental Health Association, Kamloops Branch (CMHA) is a provincial charity that promotes the mental health of all.

We are proud to be part of a network of CMHA branches in communities across BC and Canada whose grassroots involvement and direct services – that have touched the lives of countless people in our community. Together, we provide a wide range of innovative services and supports tailored to and in partnership with our community.

Help change the way we think about, talk about, and treat mental illness and addiction. With your help, B4Stage4 campaign, Bounce Back, Confident Parents: Thriving Kids, Talk Today, and Ride Don’t Hide programs can create a much-needed shift in our approach to mental health and addictions.

What People Are Saying

"I want people to remember that the brain is an organ, just like any other organ in the body,"

Margaret Trudeau.

"For me this was an illness, just like any other illness. I needed help. I got treatment. I was going to be okay. But people around me suddenly began to disappear from my life. They didn't know how to deal with this disease, or me. There was a huge stigma attached to this disease at the time,"

Elizabeth Manley

"Sharing my story has made me feel vulnerable at times. But the gratitude I have received from those who needed to know that successful people are just as prone to illness as anyone has been very rewarding,"

Amy Sky
