CMHA North and West Vancouver, a leading provider of mental health support on the Northshore, strives to rebuild community connections for those living with mental illness. Our programs meet people where they are at with compassion and understanding. Our services build trust, connect those in distress with peers, housing, counselling and help open the door to recovery.

The Northshore is a community that values a sense of belonging. Strong local connections and wider networks respond to emerging needs and look out for each other.

For individuals, a vital indicator of mental health and wellness is the strength commitment and support provided by their family, friends, connections, and their networks.  The stigma that clouds mental illness often leads individuals to isolate, unable to reach out for help and sometimes not knowing help is available. Prolonged isolation can lead to further distress.

We work on the frontlines responding to those in distress and often compounded by intersecting crisis: the pandemic, precarious housing market, overdoses, poverty.

We bear a heavy load and so we turn to our community particularly, our volunteers and our monthly donors who have our backs. It is their support that propels our work.

Monthly donors provide a predictable, steady foundation to our operations and grounds our operations so we can deftly respond to emerging community needs.

We are seeking new donors to join our network of support as monthly supporters.
