The Canadian Music Competition brings together young Canadian musicians, supports their study of classical music, encourages perseverance and discipline, while nurturing passion and talent.
About Canadian Music Competition (CMC)
The Canadian Music Competition gives each year the opportunity to hundreds of young Canadian musicians to showcase their talent through its three-round competition.
In short
- Some 500 youths, aged 7 to 30 participate every year.
- The juries are made up of professional musicians and music pedagogues who are recognized in Canada and abroad.
- More than $100,000 in regional, provincial, and national scholarships are awarded annually.
- Hundreds of volunteers accross Canada define the energy, spirit and network of the CMC.
