The Carrefour Familial Hochelaga is a non-profit organization that helps families of the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood, and beyond.
At the heart of its community for more than 40 years, the Carrefour develops and put into action innovating solutions, adapted to the evolving needs of families with children aged from 0 to 17 years old, in order to upgrade their quality of life and their power to act. The Carrefour was born out of the analysis of parents about their reality and challenges; it is this philosophy of ''from and for'' that is the heart and soul of the Carrefour and still drives us to this day.
The Carrefour Familial Hochelaga offers three services:
-Maison de la famille: a welcoming, warm and friendly environment for all families where we offer a plethora of services for families, such as activites for parents and children, workshops to develop parenting skills, and direct help to the basic needs of families.
-École Hors Murs: a program that helps parents who have not finished their highschool to get an equivalent diploma in order to enter the work market and become independant.
-Maison Oxygène Montréal: a housing program for fathers in crisis that offers a home for 3 to 6 months while being supported by a specialized counselor to get out of the crisis regain their relationship with their children.
