The Canadian Centre for Architecture is an international research institution based on the fundamental premise that architecture is a public concern.
We produce research, exhibitions, publications and a range of activities. We host scholars and provide access to the unparalleled collections including prints, drawings, photographs, an extensive library, and a special emphasis on complete architectural archives.
Exhibitions at the CCA
When we’ve been pressed to explain ourselves, we say that our exhibitions often try to confront the assumptions behind the practice of architecture, or to unpack the agendas that end up shaping our cities, buildings, and daily lives.
Of course, we don’t do this alone; we do it in public, with help from a network of like-minded people, with hope that the themes we engage also add something to contemporary debates and maybe even future architectural production.

Public Programs
Our lectures, seminars, workshops, and visits address issues in architecture and urbanism in a mode that’s expressly defined for conversation. We invite scholars and practicing architects here for just this reason—to offer another side of a discussion on distinct topics that correspond to the CCA’s ongoing research interests.
