Mission

Cedar Centre provides a unique and holistic approach to trauma-specific therapy, education and advocacy for children, youth and adults who have experienced childhood interpersonal (abuse-related) trauma. The Centre also provides outreach, prevention and education activities to community groups, educational environments and other helping professionals.

Founded in 1987, the Centre is a non-profit charitable organization that offers is programs and services for free to the nine municipalities of York Region and many surrounding areas without like services. We use a trauma-informed and anti-racist/anti-oppressive framework to guide our work and to assist in meeting each person's unique needs, strengths and challenges.
