COCO Cafe – Where Community Works
COCO Cafe, operated by Cedar Opportunities BC Society, is a vibrant social enterprise in Cedar, BC dedicated to creating meaningful employment, training, and social connection for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Through supported employment, hands-on training, and our growing COCO College initiative, we help individuals with intellectual disabilities build skills, confidence, and independence in a real-world workplace. Every day, our cafe brings people together - not just for great food and coffee, but for something more powerful: opportunity.
In 2025, COCO provided nearly 8,000 supported employment hours, with that number continuing to grow through partnerships with Hullo Ferries and our upcoming Nanaimo Airport expansion. These aren’t just hours - they represent confidence gained, friendships formed, and lives transformed.
