Celebrating Traditions. Supporting Communities.
Across Cape Breton Island, there are village halls, churches, and community spaces that have long been places where people gather for music and connection.
For generations, these spaces have helped sustain the traditions that define this Island. Fiddle tunes passed from player to player. Songs shared across kitchen tables and community stages. Neighbours and visitors coming together around music that has long been part of everyday life here.
Celtic Colours was created with those communities in mind.
Each October, the Festival works with local hosts across the Island to present concerts and cultural experiences in these spaces, inviting audiences to experience the music and traditions where they have always lived. In doing so, the Festival celebrates these living traditions while helping bring visitors and meaningful economic activity to the places that host them.
2026 will mark the 30th year of Celtic Colours — nearly three decades of celebrating the music and traditions that have shaped this place while generating significant social, cultural, and economic benefits.
We invite those who value the role Celtic Colours plays in our communities to consider making a donation to the Celtic Colours Festival Society. Donations help sustain these efforts and the far-reaching impacts of the Festival, including support for artists, youth programs, educational initiatives, and programming in communities throughout the Island.
Thank you for considering supporting the work of the Celtic Colours Festival Society.
