About CENTRAL OKANAGAN ELIZABETH FRY SOCIETY

Since 1972, the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society has provided women, children, and youth with a safe environment where they can receive counselling and information to empower them to make positive changes in their lives.

The Elizabeth Fry Society helps women involved in the justice system while also assisting women, children, and youth who have experienced sexual violence, or abuse from an intimate partner. The Society also nurtures the natural support systems of family, friends, and caregivers who witness or are otherwise affected by their loved ones’ experiences of violence or conflict with the law.

The Elizabeth Fry Society is focused on cultivating strong, confident and secure women and children. Clients of the Elizabeth Fry Society are provided with a nurturing and healthy environment where they can regain their dignity, autonomy, and self-esteem. The Society changes lives by helping women and children to reach the power within themselves.
