Reflecting the Love of Jesus
For over 40 years, Central Park Baptist Church (CPBC) has been serving the community in Brampton, primarily the Bramalea and surrounding area. The church was dedicated on January 13, 1974. Since then, many changes have occurred and yet some things have not changed. Reflecting the love of Jesus, we continue to reach out to our neighbours and in the wider community to spread the gospel and to win souls to Christ.
Planning for the church actually began in 1972 when Rev. Stanley Gompf left his congregation in Chatham, Ontario, to plant a new church in Bramalea. Worship services were held in a school auditorium until a portable structure was erected. A school bus was used for other church activities.
The need for a bigger building soon became apparent and, five and a half years later, on Sunday, July 22, 1979, the sod was turned to begin construction on this building in which we worship today. Through faith, prayer, dedication, enthusiasm and hard work, the new building was officially opened less than a year later on April 13, 1980.
After all these years, there is a need to renovate and upgrade our building and we will be embarking on a fundraising campaign to help offset the renovation costs.
You can join our Sunday morning service at 10:45 a.m. in person or online. Call us at 905-793-4265 to learn more about our other services and activities.
Blessings.
