Centre d'accueil Roger-Séguin is a not-for-profit long term care home that has a total of 115 beds. It offers services to residents that are 18 years and over and that require 24 hours nursing personal care. Other services that are offered at our home is dementia care, palliative care and psychogeriatric care to the Francophone community of Prescott-Russell. Our home was built in 1975 by community volunteers under the direction of Roger Seguin, the former priest of Ste-Félicité parish in Clarence-Creek.
Our home has been designated a francophone community by the Ministry of Francophone affairs since 1986. Our home has a waiting list of approximately 35-45 residents annually. As a funded home under the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care, we comply with all legislative requirements. We have a total of 63 volunteers that ensure that we continue to improve the quality of care and services to our residents. They serve as aides in the recreation department, pastoral care and board members.
